Hello, cuties! I’ve decided to start a blog on my own website because I think that’s cool and never should have gone out of style. I’m going to write about my projects, but also give life updates and talk about things I like. You should make a blog, too!

WIP Updates

Beyond Atlantis has my attention recently. I realized that although I'd abandoned BA because I didn't think I had enough of a plot to make a novel, I realized that I did have enough to make a novella, and for that I have half a draft. I want to publish a series of KU exclusive novellas to try and make money on my writing, because the world is scary and having multiple income streams seems like a good idea, plus I've always wanted to be an author.

I printed Beyond Atlantis out and went through it with the a red pen to rework it, which took a total of about five hours spread over a week. I actually ended up taking a PTO day today because it was rainy and our power went out, so I finished my read through AND revised the outline, so I can just start rewriting now!

Content Creation

I really need to get back into making content for Instagram and all the other platforms. I prefer to make vlog-style content, but if I’m being 100% real, I have an absolutely massive nasal polyp that is making my voice so unbearably nasal that I cannot make a video where I’m talking. It would be torture. Luckily, I have my surgery to remove this thing from my head scheduled for the end of August. I cannot wait!

I’m planning to make silly videos featuring the American Girl dolls from my childhood, but I haven’t really had it in me! The atrocities that are being committed every day are killing my sense of humor. I do not like living in this timeline.

Stuff I Like Today

• Obsession - I've been on a scary movie kick lately because of my rage, so of course I LOVE Obsession. I keep terrorizing my husband by acting like Nikki, which he loves.

• Wolfsong by TJ Klune - I’m about halfway through this book but I already bought the 2nd and 3rd in the series because I love it so much. I desperately needed something comforting and Klune is currently my favorite author for calming my nervous system.

• The Night We Met by Abby Jimenez - I finished this book last week and I LOVED it! I always care deeply for Abby's characters, but Chris and Larissa are my favorites.

• Margo’s Got Money Troubles (Apple TV) - I read the book of the same name earlier this year. My husband and I are two episodes into the series and I think it holds up well! There are definitely some things that are different than the book but nothing major.

Recent Adventures

This past weekend was so fun!

A few friends and I went to a few bookstore for the Pittsburgh Book Crawl. I bought a lot of books I swore I would only buy books that I’d read…. That did not happen. But I don’t regret anything! It was a great event and I can’t wait for next year.

We went to Deep Creek with my siblings, their significant others, and some friends from Friday night to Sunday morning. My sister’s boyfriend’s family has a cabin there, so it was very cozy and fun! The air smells amazing there and the water was perfect.

Today, though, my electricity went out right around 9 and didn’t come back on until right before 3. So, I took PTO and spent the entire day reading, writing, and cuddling poor Caraxes because he was too cold. I got a ton done - see the previously mentioned BA updates and this website - but honestly, every time the electricity goes out I think the orange one has finally succeeded in killing us all for a few minutes. Luckily, it was just a transformer blowing!
